Middlesbrough Graded 5k

Stride Out Athletics are proud to announce this unique opportunity to race in a graded 5k event under the floodlights on Middlesbrough Sports Village's closed road circuit. The key features of the event are as follows:
The Races
-
There will be two 5km road races on the night, one for those wishing to run under 21 minutes and one for those that believe they will run slower than 21 minutes. The minimum age of entry on the day of the race is 11 years old.

There will be a free to enter children's 1km fun run (parents can run with their children at no cost). Children need to be of school age to take part. Children will start according to the year they are in at school (in essence younger children will get a head start on older children).
The Course

Both the 5km races and the children's 1km fun run will take place on Middlesbrough Sports Village's fast floodlit 1km closed road circuit.

The timetable for the night is as follows:

5:00pm Registration opens (register at the hut adjacent to the start/finish area on the closed road circuit)

6:30pm 1km Fun Run start (handicapped according to School Year)

6:50pm 1km Fun Run Presentation

7:00pm 5km (sub 21 minutes race)

7:30pm 5km (21 minutes plus race)

8:30pm 5km Presentation
Prizes

2km Fun Run - Medal for first 3 boys and first 3 girls

5km races - All entered in both 5km races will be entered into a prize draw for 5 x £20 running shop vouchers
